Joseph D. Pulver
Biography
Joseph D. Pulver is the Director of Operations for the Ingham County
Road Commission. The Ingham County Road Commission is responsible for the
repair, maintenance and traffic safety of more than 1,249 miles of roads
throughout Ingham County.
Joe Pulver has been the Director of Operations since 1990 and is responsible for the maintenance of Ingham County roads and maintenance strategies and interacts extensively with other public entities, contractors and county residents to resolve problems and address ongoing concerns.
Mr. Pulver is a Registered Professional Engineer with the State of Michigan and joined the Ingham County Road Commission as the Design & Construction Engineer .Pulver determined and outlined appropriate construction procedures and managed the coordination of construction activities .He designed and produced working construction plans for Ingham County roads, cooperatively addressing contractor and public concerns.
Prior to joining the Ingham County Road Commission, Mr. Pulver worked as a Project Engineer in Meridian Township, inspecting and designing water and sewer systems.
Before working for Meridian Township, Mr. Pulver worked as a laborer, operator, foreman and engineer for 10 years for Causie Contracting, a road-building contractor.
Pulver earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and is a past President of the Superintendent Association of the County Road Association of Michigan. .Mr. Pulver is also a member of the American Public Works Association.
Mr. Pulver and his wife Linda have two grown children, Brad and Ben.
Mr. Pulver
enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, backpacking and running marathons.
