subject: POLITICAL SIGNS IN THE RIGHT OF WAY

adopted by the board of ingham county road commissioners on JULY 13, 2006

Political advertising signs are not allowed to be placed in the county road right of way, or to be attached in any manner to street name, warning or regulatory signs and/or posts.

This type of sign, when reported to the Ingham County Road Commission or when discovered by employees, shall be removed promptly and the owner of the advertising sign, if readily known, shall be notified that the signs are in the possession of the Ingham County Road Commission. Unclaimed signs will be destroyed after 30 days.

All candidates for political office shall be notified by sending a copy of this notice.
