Marc
Thomas serves as a commissioner on the Board of Ingham County Road
Commissioners. The Ingham County Road Commission is responsible for
the repair, maintenance and traffic safety of more than 1,249 miles of road
throughout Ingham County. The Board of Ingham County Road Commissioners
directs a $22 million-plus annual road maintenance and construction budget, and
supervises a staff of just under 70 full-time employees. Marc
Thomas works as a professor of social science and coordinates global
initiatives for Lansing Community College.
He also served as the chair of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners
for two years and served as an overall member of the Board from 2003-2009.
