Sealed proposals will be received by the staff of the Ingham County Road Commission until 2:00 P.M. local time on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, in the Board Room of the Ingham County Road Commission’s Austin E. Cavanaugh Administration Building located at 301 Bush Street, P.O. Box 38, Mason, Michigan 48854-0038; telephone number 517-676-9722 or 800-968-9733, at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read.  The Board of Ingham County Road Commissioners will consider award of this proposal at a meeting after September 11, 2007.

 

Proposals are to be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Ingham County Road Commission.  Proposals must be in sealed envelopes clearly marked on the outside as to the proposal number, time and date of bid opening.  Bid price is to be firm from September 11, 2007, through March 31, 2008.

 

Grader blades are to be bid F.O.B. Ingham County Road Commission Mason Garage facilities at the above address by truck delivery.  The delivery date for this material will be considered when awarding this proposal.

 

SPECIFICATIONS

 

1200 linear feet, more or less, of 7/8" x 5" x 48" (22.2 mm x 127.0 mm x 122 cm) Single Tungsten Carbide insert grader blades.  Single bevel, USS Standard punching (holes established approximately 1.5 inches from top of bevel for mounting on standard, beveled, underbody scraper moldboard), painted and without bolts.  Tungsten Carbide inserts must have a width of not less than 0.365 inches (9.3 mm) and a height of not less than 0.630 inches (16.0 mm).  Literature describing the product bid must accompany proposal.
